The Whitebark Pine Story

Event Description:

Join us for an evening to learn about whitebark pine, an iconic tree species found in high-elevation forests across the Northern Rockies that has weathered significant declines due to multiple ecological threats. It has been proposed for listing as a threatened species in the U.S. since 2020. Hear Dr. Diana Tomback, outreach and policy coordinator at the Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation, give a public talk on whitebark pine restoration efforts, and watch an exclusive film screening of "The Bird and the Tree", a new short film from The Cornell Lab of Ornithology. The program will be followed by a Q&A and shopping opportunity. Snacks will be provided, along with beverages from Beaverhead Brewing Company!
