The Rose presents The FUNeral of the Pink Garter. The ROSE LLC, the entity which brought Jackson Hole 10 years of great concerts is putting on one more show in celebration. Bringing back a group that helped start it all, almost exactly 10 years ago, Band of Horses back in the Pink Garter Theatre.

On an amphitheater tour with The Black Keys, Band of Horses is making a diversion off tour for one night to play for Jackson. Playing the smallest venue they have played in years, this will be once in a lifetime performance.

Grammy award nominated rockers Band of Horses rode onto the indie scene in 2004 with their unique woodsy, rock sound. Formed in Seattle by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Ben Bridwell, Band of Horses, has been compared to My Morning Jacket to Neil Young and to The Flaming Lips. Their eclectic rock, yet smooth single “The Funeral” has captured live audiences and served on the soundtrack of numerous commercials.

Band of Horses’ sixth album and first record in more than five years. Sonically, the album is a return to their earlier work and the kind of raw ethos that lies at the heart of Band of Horses. Emotionally intense, both on a personal and elemental level, on Things Are Great we find band founder Ben Bridwell more autobiographical than he’s ever been on record detailing the nebulous frustrations and quiet indignities of relationship changes and what a person will do to make things right.
