Local couple Kimberly and Beau Floyd have opened a nature-inspired coffee shop in Snake River Landing at 1157 Pier View Drive.
Kimberly and Beau have taken their three passions of coffee, nature and of course, moose and turned them into this one-of-a-kind coffee shop. ‘Coffee Closer to Nature’ is the core of who Moose Ridge Coffee Co. is, becoming a unique addition to Idaho Falls.
When the idea for this coffee shop was brewing, the owners wanted to open a business that is unique and stands out. The inspiration behind the theme of the coffee shop comes from the beauty of nature and wildlife in Idaho and the national parks that are nearby.
“People come from all over the world to see the national parks that are just right in our backyard,” Beau said. “We wanted our brand to replicate that passion for the outdoors, adventures and the reasons why living in Idaho Falls is so great.”
What makes Moose Ridge so special is the use of natural and high-quality ingredients. Similar to nature, their products are naturally made. “We make our syrups in-house and bake our pastries fresh each morning,” Kimberly said. “Our coffee is brewed to excellence and perfection.”
At Moose Ridge, they emphasize the quality of not only the coffee but the syrups and pastries as well, which are made fresh every morning at the shop and are made with natural ingredients too.
The quality of coffee is ensured by the staff with each cup of coffee that is brewed. “We are looking at every single cup of coffee that is made,” Kimberly said. “We have certain parameters we are checking and if it falls outside of that we don't serve it.”
The commitment to quality at Moose Ridge extends to the baristas, who have been trained in-depth on how to grind the coffee, brew it and properly store it. “We have equipped them with some of the best equipment to make great coffee,” Beau said.
The variety of menu options at Moose Ridge gives customers the choice of coffee, non-coffee drinks, breakfast and lunch items and seasonal drinks. The menu even has options for kids’ breakfast, lunch and drinks.
