Museum of Idaho announces details of third, annual fundraising gala

Please join us on Friday, August 26, 2022, as the community is invited to one of the biggest black-tie events of the year held at the Museum of Idaho.
The purpose of the gala is to raise money to keep world-class exhibits coming to MOI every year, making it the only museum in Idaho who offers such renowned traveling exhibits. The goal is to continue serving the community through the museum’s vast educational opportunities such as: classes offered year-round, traveling exhibits, maintaining and expanding the Way Out West exhibit, and growing the archive collection to become more accessible to the public.
Since MOI does not receive any federal, state, or local government funding, the museum relies solely on donors and fundraising efforts in order to continue bringing Idaho to the world and the world to Idaho. Every dollar raised goes back to the museum so it can continue serving the community.
This year, the museum is honored to feature a special message of support from Idaho Governor Brad Little. The gala will also feature: bottomless champagne, a DJ from AndX Entertainment, live music from the Dewdroppers, pass tray canapés and hors d’oeuvres, three bars, and chances to win during our raffle and silent auction (going live on Friday, August 19).
Among the exciting prizes are: Chances to have some of our exhibit items named after you, vacation packages, an Orlando Resort time share stay, sports memorabilia, and even Alaska Airlines tickets to anywhere in the country.
During the 2021 gala, the museum was able to raise more than $30,000. This year, MOI is hoping to surpass that goal to help sustain and expand the museum’s offerings to the community.
