For someone with a debilitating injury, quality therapeutic care can mean the difference between 6 months or a year of recovery time after an accident. Because someone receiving therapeutic services often requires one-on-one planning and treatment with a licensed therapist, Rexburg Rehabilitation focuses on bringing the highest standards of therapeutic care to Rexburg and its surrounding areas.

The Rexburg Rehab Difference

Paul Dye, owner and operator of Rexburg Rehabilitation, knows what it’s like to need therapeutic services. A shoulder injury sustained while playing high school baseball led Paul to develop a lifelong interest in the field of therapy. That interest paid off in the form of his future career when he graduated from the athletic training program at Rick’s College and worked with sports teams at Brigham Young University before continuing his education in physical therapy.

For Paul, Rexburg Rehabilitation is more than just a physical therapy office. Seeing the opportunity to increase available services in the community and to enhance quality of life, the clinic has brought together multiple forms of therapy and training along with a talented team of therapists to ensure everyone receives the help they need in a way that works for them.

Occupational Therapy

Rexburg Rehabilitation offers extensive occupational therapy, a branch of rehabilitation healthcare often needed for individuals to effectively carry out their routines and daily functions. Occupational therapists help people of all ages manage their struggles and adapt their environments so they can participate in the things they want to do.

During occupational therapy, individuals can take part in comprehensive evaluations of their home and work environments and discover adaptive equipment that can ease the friction of everyday tasks, making life more comfortable and fulfilling.

At Rexburg Rehabilitation, therapists work with patients from a holistic perspective. The goal is to adapt a patient’s environment to suit their unique needs rather than try to change something about the patient. This means each patient gets the help they need to make their environment friendly and functional so they can fully engage in what they want to do most.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy at Rexburg Rehab-ilitation covers a wide range of bodily areas and can be used to relieve pain, improve movement or ability, recover from injuries and even help manage chronic illnesses like diabetes and heart disease. Physical therapy utilizes a variety of techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient’s body, leading to healthier muscles and movement, quicker recovery, and improved physical outcomes in both the short and long term.

Rexburg Rehabilitation’s physical therapists are trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders involving the musculoskeletal system, meaning patients can receive the full scope of treatment for an array of needs from compassionate and qualified professionals.

Athletic Training

The American Medical Association describes athletic trainers as “lifeguards” to athletes and recommends there should always be at least one present at any sporting event. Why? Athletic trainers work with physicians to offer preventative care, emergency treatment, and post-injury assistance.

Athletes and their families in Rexburg and surrounding areas currently rely on trainers from Rexburg Rehabilitation to ensure all events are safe, especially when it comes to being on the sidelines during sporting events.

Whether it’s taping, bracing, or providing emergency care for athletes at local sporting events, athletic trainers are available to help athletes in their time of need.
