Based on the classic Charles Dickens novel, Lionel Bart’s Oliver! springs to life with some of the most memorable characters and songs ever to grace the stage. The Idaho Falls Youth Arts Centre (IFYAC) brings the timeless story to life with stellar performances and fun ensemble dance numbers, resulting in a musical extravaganza.

For more than 20 years, IFYAC has been providing quality productions in this community. Each year, IFYAC brings professional live theatre experiences to the youth of our community while giving them an opportunity to mentor with experienced actors and staff. The majority of the Oliver! cast is under the age of 18, and this show is one of the many opportunities IFYAC provides to learn from teachers and professional mentors.

This year, Claire Hancock will be featured as the well-known, courageous orphan, Oliver, and will be joined on stage by other Idaho Falls favorites, including Matt Larsen as the conniving career criminal, Fagin, and Kenny McMurphy as the malicious Bill Sikes. Broc Thurman fills the role as the precocious, streetwise Artful Dodger, and IFYAC newcomer, Andilyn Jenkins, will perform as the compassionate Nancy.

Lionel Bart’s Oliver! runs Nov. 12, 13, 15 and 16, each night at 7:30 p.m., at  the Idaho Falls Civic Center for the Performing Arts. There will be a special matinee performance on  Saturday, Nov. 13  at 2 p.m.
