Idaho Falls Zoo Hosts Scorchin’ August Events for All!

IDAHO FALLS -Mark your calendars! There are tons of events for locals to participate in throughout the month of August. Catch all of the details in the break-down below. 

August 6: It’s Time for Sippin’ Safari
Join the zoo for another month of our newest fundraising event, Sippin’ Safari! Friday, August 6 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. come enjoy an evening strolling the zoo listening to the live music of McMurphy Brothers with your family. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase adult and non-alcoholic drinks, so bring your ID, and all ages are welcome. Admission is $10 for the general public ages 3 and up, $5 for zoo members ages 3 and up, and children 2 and under can enjoy the zoo for free! Tickets must be purchased online before the event at https://tinyurl.com/4ud87ua7. As this event is a fundraiser, zoo memberships aren’t valid for entry.

CANCELLED! August 13: Hawaiian Luau at the Zoo
On Friday, Aug. 13, bring the family to a fun, energy-filled fundraiser hosted by the Tautphaus Park Zoological Society. Mama Mango Madness Hawaiian Luau will run from 5:30 -8:30 p.m. and this year, it’s open to all ages. Stroll the zoo enjoying fruity wines and non-alcoholic drinks. Then, the night really heats up with performances by the Mountain Taiko Drummers and Happy Hula. Enjoy beautiful and amazing Polynesian dances and the zoo will end the event with a traditional fire dance! As this event is a fundraiser, TPZS annual memberships are not valid for admission. Tickets range from $15-$45 depending on age and participation and are available at https://tinyurl.com/2v7zk5nw

August 27: Fluor Idaho’s STEAM Day at the Zoo
 Bring the family to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) with hands on interactive activities throughout the zoo! Activities run from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. and are included with your paid zoo admission or TPZS membership. The first 100 participants will receive an awesome map of the zoo featuring STEAM activities courtesy of Toyota.

The zoo is open daily (including holidays during the season) from 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Admission to the Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park is a steal of a deal! Only $8 for adults (ages 13-61), $6.50 for seniors (62+), $5.00 for children (ages 3-12), and $0.50 for ages 2 and under.
