Pierce Avenue will perform on Saturday, Sept. 3.

In every corner of the Eastern Idaho State Fair, you will find something to see, do and experience. The EISF “Grounds Entertainment” for 2021 is the best lineup the fair has ever had.

They have some old favorites for the children with Meet the Animals in West Events by Gate No. 6, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. At the event, there will be a cow to milk, farm animals to pet, a super-sized pig to be awestruck by and even a pony ride or two. This is presented by the Idaho Farm Bureau, whose goal is to bring the farm back to our community, one child at a time.

Across the way in West Events, the fair will once again have Puzzle-Mania and Barnyard Adventure with new exhibits for the children to play and experience. They will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Inside the Barnyard Adventure, fair guests will see “The Trevor and Lorena Comedy Magic Show’’ at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily.  Trevor and Lorena will entertain with magical trickery that will keep you thinking for days.

New this year will be the Jetpack Flying Water Circus that will wow the young and old with high-powered jet skis and aerial water jet packs. Guests will experience stunts, flips and soaring as high as the imagination can take you with this Daredevil Stunt Team. Expect a spray of water here and there. Shows will be daily at 2, 4 and 7 p.m. in the West Events Area, presented by Idaho Central Credit Union. Look for the green trailer with the flashing lights to let you know you have arrived.

On the Northwest Farm Credit Free Stage, there will be local entertainment for everyone to sit, relax and enjoy daily. Starting on Friday, Sept. 3 and running for all 9-days of the fair at 6 and 9 p.m. “The Incredible Hypnotist Richard Barker Show” will also return to the EISF. Richard is a world-renowned hypnotist that will have everyone on the edge of their seat wondering what is going to happen next.

Pierce Avenue will show their love of country music starting on Friday, Sept. 3, running through Monday, Sept. 6 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. This husband-wife pairing demonstrates a genuine passion for music and their love with each song they perform. Then on the second half of the week from Wednesday, Sept. 8 through closing Saturday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., you will be holding your sides in laughter when you get to see “The Donald and Dubya Show” with impersonator John Morgan, showing up as George Dubya Bush, Donald Trump and maybe a friend or two. You will love this side-splitting non-political comedy that will have a little bit of humor for everyone.

We have a full lineup on our Big Dog Satellite Free Stage. Fair favorite “Mango and Dango” are returning and will wow everyone who sees them with their breathtaking technical circus skills. Shows will be Friday, Sept. 3 through Tuesday, September 7 at 5 and 7 p.m. Along with “Mango and Dango,” Jeanne Coady will honor the EISF with her “Tribute to Patsy Cline.” As you sit and enjoy listening to Jeanne, you will feel like you are back in 1957 when Patsy Cline herself sang her breakthrough song “Walking After Midnight” on live TV.

The second half of the week will not let you down for fantastic entertainment with “The Matt Baker Comedy + Stunt Show.”  Matt’s shows will be Wednesday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, September 11 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.  Matt’s show is a unique combination of hilarious stand-up comedy and amazing stunts that will keep everyone entertained and wanting more. “Adam the Great” will be back at the fair for a second time. Adam is one of the most talented entertainers we have ever had the pleasure of hosting here at the EISF. Adam’s show is a unique blend of charm, wit, audience interaction and innovative magic.

As an added treat, the fair will have strolling acts all week long. Look for “The Flying Umbrella Ship” going down Blue-Ribbon Boulevard or “Adam the Great” with his card trick. In the West Events Walkways, you will find Charles Chesterfield and Miss Lorena and their “Barrel O’Fun” as they pop up several times a day with their magic and hysterical antics to keep you entertained and wanting more.
