Environment has a large impact on your quality of life. Sometimes we can feel like we have little control over a space, especially after we’ve lived in it for a long time. However, there are a few things we can do to change up the most important spaces in our lives, such as our living rooms. Here are a few ideas to help breathe new life into your space:

  1. Rearrange your furniture. Sometimes you don’t even have to go out and make a new purchase to change up your living situation. Arranging furniture differently can make a room feel more open or just different. Find ideas on social media apps, such as Pinterest and get creative.

  2. Bring in new accents. Find a new blanket and pillow set for your couch or add a new vase to your end table.

  3. Clean up the clutter. We’re living in an age of minimalism when it comes to design. That means cutting away all of the items over cluttering your space. Try limiting your photo wall to five photos rather than twenty or rotate knick-knacks instead of putting all out on display at once.

  4. Create a piece of art. You don’t have to be Picasso to create something worth hanging in your living room. Pick up a piece of art that sticks out to you at the thrift store and paint the frame or try any number of other craft projects. A personal touch goes a long way.
