Have you noticed the simple brown signs off our state's highways with yellow writing and a greenish silhouette of Idaho? These are historical markers, they detail events of the past at the very locations in which exciting tidbits of our state's history have occurred. Historical markers can be found all throughout Idaho and maps of them are available online; however, if you're wanting to stay local during your sign search, here are just a few interesting markers within Eastern Idaho.

Near I-15 are Idaho's First Railroad, Lava Formations and Idaho State University. By the U.S.-89 is Bank Robbers, and just off the U.S.-91 is Idaho's Oldest Town
