Annual Idaho Falls State of the City Address

Tune into Mayor Casper's address this Thursday

IDAHO FALLS – Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper is scheduled to give her annual State of the City speech on Thursday, January 14th beginning at 7:30 p.m.  

The speech, which will be broadcast live over the city’s website, is slated to preview new and exciting projects, initiatives and programs coming to Idaho Falls in the coming year, in addition to reviewing the accomplishments and challenges of 2020.  

In addition, as part of her remarks Mayor Casper will be presenting the first annual Mayor’s Choice Awards recognizing individuals, groups, organizations and businesses in the community.  The awards are designed to recognize remarkable achievement or accomplishment, recognize commitment to the Idaho Falls community or to celebrate acts of service.  

This year’s speech will also feature a special announcement about a new initiative between the city and private sector to help prevent isolation, improve mental health and bring some fun and levity back to the community during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.   

Those wishing to watch the broadcast can do so by logging on to the city’s website at www.idahofallsidaho.gov and clicking on the “Live Stream” tab under the city’s “Government” section.  The speech will be also be recorded and available to watch later on the city’s website.
