There are few things more soothing than swimming in a pool on a warm summer day. Those days are few in Idaho Falls, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still swim or make the best of sunny days. With recreational facilities swimming is becoming more accessible than ever before.

Wes Deist Aquatic Center

Are you looking to enroll in lessons or just enjoy a relaxing swim with the family? The Wes Deist Aquatic Center suits all of your swimming needs with private lessons and public swim hours. 

Public Swim Hours

Monday through Friday         

10:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

6-8 p.m.

Saturday         

1-4 p.m.

6-8 p.m.

Sunday           

1-4 p.m.

Lap Swim Hours

Monday through Friday

5:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 

8-9 p.m.

Scout Night & Kayaking

Scout Night

COST: All Scouts admitted for $2 plus tax. To qualify, the scout and/or scout master must wear scout vest or shirt to get this discount.

Kayaking

Bring your own kayak.

TIME: 9-10:15 p.m.

COST: $6.50 plus tax per person

Friday 

Family Night & Kayaking

TIME: 6-8 p.m.

COST: Family admission is $10 plus tax. Immediate family only, and at least one parent must swim. Children 3 and under must have a swim diaper (must be shown). Diapers are available for $2.  

Saturday 

Student Night

TIME:  6-8 p.m. 

COST: Admission is $2.50 plus tax for any student with a valid student ID.

Mermaid Swim

  • Use your fin during any public swim session.
  • Mermaid tails are available to rent for $5 plus tax.
  • A Mermaid swim test is available for $7 plus tax (includes public swim admission) or $5 for test only (tails not included).

Private Lessons

Register for private lessons online today!

Private Lessons are $20 plus tax per half hour lesson (1 student per instructor).

Semi-Private Lessons are $26 plus tax per half hour lesson (2 students per instructor).

  • Full size classes: $40 plus tax (6 students per instructor)
  • Half size classes: $74 plus tax (3 student per instructor)

Ammon City Pool

The Ammon Splash Pad opens in late May. The city pool and splash pad are the perfect escape from the summer heat. Lessons are available for those interested and affordable public swim hours.

A warm soothing swim in Heise Hot Springs can soothe aching muscles. The 104 degree mineral hot spring is a haven during Idaho winters. A warm pool kept at 92 degrees is also available, allowing plenty of options for the entire family.

Ross Park Aquatic Complex

The Ross Park Aquatic Complex isn’t just a pool, but also a gathering place for the entire community. Attractions include a main pool, activity pool with cargo net and lily pads and basketball, a large water slide, lazy river and zero depth pool.
