IDAHO FALLS -- What will the new ShowBiz Cinema look like? What will it have? When does it open? These are all frequently asked questions about the new movie theater coming to town. And naturally people are curious since this is the first Idaho location for the Texas-based business.
“When I started ShowBiz Cinemas, I wanted to do it differently and create an entire experience for families,” says ShowBiz Cinemas CEO Kevin Mitchell. “When we started looking at Idaho Falls, we realized this underserved community was in great need of family fun and entertainment.”

The company will customize a party for you which includes setup, take down and everything in between. Party rooms can be combined for maximum space for bigger or corporate events.
State-of-the-Art Theater
When it comes to the theaters, customer’s will find state-of-the-art technology in every theater. The company also has their own version of the IMAX called SDX, Superior Digital Experience, which is their biggest theater featuring 4K digital laser projection, immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound and a wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor screen measuring four stories tall and 70-feet wide.
All showings offer advance reserved seating so you can play in the arcade or bowling alley right up until showtimes. Concessions are set up more like convenience stores, so you can serve yourself to make your movie experience the best it can be.
Affordability
The new theater is focused on keeping prices affordable enough for the entire family. They offer a free Star Rewards loyalty program, free movie admission for law enforcement officers and firefighters and a variety of discount options for the value-conscious entertainment seeker, including $5 movie ticket pricing all day each Tuesday, discount bowling days and $1 hot dogs all day, every day.
