The Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce (GIFCC) has announced its annual Distinguished Under 40 honorees. Distinguished Under 40 is an awards program exclusive to the eastern Idaho area that honors 10 young professionals who have gone above and beyond to accomplish great things in their careers, community and education. To be considered for the award, young professionals are nominated by co-workers, managers and business associates. Winners are selected by a panel of GIFCC past and present board members. Fifty nominations were received this year.
This Week's Spotlight: Lupita Fuentes
Lupita moved to Idaho Falls from Mexico in 2004 when she was 12 years old. She attended and graduated from Bonneville High School. She continued her education at the College of Eastern Idaho where she graduated in 2010 with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Legal Technologies.
Lupita is currently working at Northwest Cosmetic Labs, a Division of Elevation Labs, in the Human Resources Department as an HR Generalist. She began her career at Northwest Cosmetics over four years ago as a line associate. She has been involved in community events and initiatives such as Relay for Life, Make a Wish, STEM Education, and she likes to donate her time to the community by volunteering at the Animal Shelter and Solace Hospice.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, taking long walks, and spending time with her dog Maggie. She is a dedicated daughter, sister and aunt and loves spending time with her family.
