If dazzling light shows put you in a festive Yule Tide spirit, Idaho Falls has no shortage of entertaining residential decor.

Over 230,000 lights make up the Belnap Family Christmas Light Show every year in Iona. 40 rotating Christmas songs, 6.5 miles of extension chord, several nativities and sometimes even Olaf from Disney’s Frozen accompany the lights.

Evan and LoAnn Belnap started their show over 11 years ago, using the same light system as Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Several neighbors have gotten involved with the competition-winning light show, which now covers five houses on the street.

The Belnap’s show runs from 5:30-9:30 p.m. every night through Christmas day, located at 3453 N. 55th E. in Iona.

You'll also want to check out the "2019 Christmas Spectacular: The Light of Christmas," put on by the Owens family in Idaho Falls. This year, the energetic display includes video projected onto an 85-inch pixel matrix. The display utilizes over 120,000 red/green/blue pixels, providing amazing programming flexibility. Click on the "Information" tab to see an outline of what is featured in our 2019 show. Seven new songs are making their debut along with two favorites from the past.

The 30-minute show runs daily from 5-10 p.m. and repeats continuously throughout the evening. It is located at 1385 Lowell Drive. (Tune to FM 88.5 for audio.)
