The Eastern Idaho State Fair has been a part of the Eastern Idaho Community for 117 years bringing people of all ages and walks of life together to celebrate Idaho’s rich agricultural history. We’re proud to say that over the last 117 years, the Fair has grown into Eastern Idaho’s largest annual event, setting an all-time attendance record of nearly 250,000 last year.
The Fair is the place for Food, Friends, Family, and Fun in Eastern Idaho. This year’s theme, TASTE THE FUN, embodies the exciting entertainment, fantastic fair food, and incredible experiences only found at the Fair!
We are delighted to receive national recognition being ranked as the #2 State Fair in the nation by SmartAsset! It is a recognition of the continuous support from Fair Staff, Board of Directors, our vendors, and countless volunteers who make the fair experience pleasant for everyone. Over the past 10 years, our Fair has set 6 attendance records due to our commitment to being true to our rich country fair heritage. We are proud to declare that over $350,000 is raised each year at the Fair that goes directly to youth programs in eastern Idaho totaling over $3 million dollars in 10 years!
Our Fair has grown from a stock show, which started in 1902, to a Multi-County District Fair that now represents 16 counties in Eastern Idaho. Our success is the result of EISF’s commitment to providing wholesome, affordable, family-oriented entertainment and educating the public by connecting them to the values and benefits of Idaho agriculture. Our food is a main draw for most fairgoers, and many return each year to enjoy their favorite Fair Food. The Fair excels in the breadth of competitions, entertainment, and educational activities now packed into nine days.
