OK, eastern Idaho buckaroos, as a fitting prelude to one of the West’s great rodeo events, the days prior to the War Bonnet Roundup will include a horseshoe tournament and kick-off party. Are you game?
If so, here are the essentials:
The War Bonnet Round Up Horseshoe Tournament will commence at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31 at the Tautphaus Park Horseshoe Pits. (Yes folks, Tautphaus has had them for quite some time). Entry is $10 for singles, $20 for teams. Winners will receive tickets to Friday night’s rodeo.
If you’re looking for a great venue to exercise your bragging rights after the tournament, head over to the War Bonnet Roundup Kick Off Party at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1. The annual shindig is staged right here by the IFM office in beautiful Historic Downtown (Park and B Street).
