The Idaho Direct Savings Guide, now in its 2nd year of operation, is a book comprised of discounts for restaurants, golf, entertainment, salons, hotels, automotive shops and more. The fundraising program is organized to help both fundraising groups as well as local businesses. The groups are able to sell the books on consignment, keeping half of the $25 for each book sold—while fundraising with a product that puts money back into the local economy.
“It’s a win-win situation,” Carla Murdock, owner of Idaho Direct Savings Guide, said. “The schools and groups are able to raise the money that they need to help with the financial burdens placed on parents, while the discounts provided in the book help out our local businesses.”
