Outdoor Adventures for Youth

The end of the school year is approaching. Have you got a plan for what your munchkins will be doing this summer? The Museum of Idaho just might have the perfect answer for you. Registration is open for Rocky Mountain Summer Adventure Camps, a series of day camps especially for youngsters. Each age group will go on outdoor field trips to hike, bird watch, conduct experiments, and more! It's a great way to get the kids outside and learning about the world around them.

Junior Adventure Camp is for children ages 6-9 (must have completed first grade). This year, we'll explore Antarctica, rainforests, deserts and other biomes & habitats on Earth.  We conduct experiments, go on field trips, and discover the fun and excitement of science!
Instructors: Zoe Jorgensen & Sunny Katseanes  
Dates: June 16 - 19
Time: 9:00 a.m. to noon
Cost: $75 per child, $60 per child for MOI members, $50 each additional sibling

Original Camp is for children ages 9-12 (must have completed third grade) who are ready for an exciting full-day outdoor camp. Participants visit various habitats and ecosystems as we explore water in eastern Idaho. We'll go bird watching, hiking in the mountains, and lots more!
Instructors: Alana Jensen, Jerry Petty, and Sunny Katseanes
Dates: June 30 - July 3
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (8:00 to 5:00 on final day)
Cost: $150 per child, $125 per child for MOI members, $100 each additional sibling

High Adventure Camp  is for youth ages 11-14 (must have completed fifth grade) who are looking for an amazing summer adventure! This outdoor camp is full of exciting physical challenges and engages participants in even more in-depth activities than the Original Camp. This year, students will explore all about water during exciting activities that will keep you excited and engaged!
Instructors: Jerry Petty, Mike Winston, & Sunny Katseanes
Dates: July 7 - 10
Time:  8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (8:00 to 5:00 on final day)
Cost: $150 per child, $125 per child for MOI members, $100 each additional sibling
