If you’ve visited Downtown Idaho Falls in the summer, you have likely seen the colorful flowers growing on every corner in the ground pots and hanging flower baskets!
Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation raises money throughout the year to continue to bring in these flowers. Every hanging flower basket that you see is sponsored by a community member and recognized by a hanging tag. During the summer, we fill every single pot that you see on the sidewalks with vibrant flowers. Throughout the rest of the year, we fill some of the pots with seasonal plants.
4 Seasons Garden Design Nursery starts the flowers in their green house and when the weather is just right, they plant them on the street. IFDDC also partners with Idaho Falls Parks & Recreation to water and maintain the flowers and plants. Watering is a huge task and Parks & Rec tackles the project head-on to keep the flowers looking beautiful for the entire season. Even the bees enjoy the downtown flowers!
