Phil Campbell joined Bonneville Joint School District 93 in 2014 after spending 14 years in television. Campbell worked for NBC affiliate KPVI in Pocatello and KSNV in Las Vegas during his award-winning television career. From anchoring sports to running the newsroom, he did a little bit of everything before retiring from television and joining D93.

Campbell immediately began using his video experience to connect with the school district’s patrons and community. This has resulted in D93 videos being viewed millions of times and an increase in D93’s Facebook following. He has also served on the Museum of Idaho board and the Ucon City Council, all while aggressively pursuing transparency in D93.

His work with D93 earned him the prestigious National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Front Runner Award, given to emerging leaders who are doing outstanding work for their schools, their chapters and for NSPRA. The annual distinction is awarded to four association members each year. Campbell started a three-year-term as Northwest Region Vice President of NSPRA on Oct. 1.

Phil and his wife Heather live in Ucon where they have two dogs, a Yorkie and Maltipoo.
