Matthew Johnson started his career in senior living at the age of 15 as a dishwasher at an assisted-living community. His passion for seniors led him to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, followed by roles in a variety of senior care disciplines including admissions, business development, marketing and operations.
For the past 9 years, Johnson climbed through the ranks of one of the largest assisted living communities in Idaho to become its executive director. Under Johnson’s leadership, Lincoln Court Retirement has been awarded the Gold Excellence in Care distinction by the state and voted the No. 1 retirement community for 6 years in a row by the Eastern Idaho community.
Johnson also devotes much of his time to giving back to the local senior community, including roles as president of the Geriatric Forum, Area Agency on Aging, Health & Human Services Committee, Meals on Wheels and local participation in various activities of the Alzheimer’s Association. Johnson states his greatest accomplishments are his amazing wife and four incredible children.
