Darwin & Dinosaurs

Walk among dinosaurs and trace how their discovery in the 1800s inspired Charles Darwin to explore how life has adapted and changed over millions of years. Highlights include 85 rare artifacts from Darwin’s life, work and voyage on the HMS Beagle.

Ghost Walk

How many times have you heard rumors of ghosts while visiting Historic Downtown Idaho Falls? The summer months are the perfect time to get spooked while walking around the city’s cultural district and learn more about its haunting history, including tales of brothels, lost children and murder.

Booking a tour at Ghost Walk now will save you from the Halloween crowds and from the freezing weather. The tour is 90 minutes long and wheelchair-friendly.

The Eastern Idaho State Fair

The fair will go on! Adjusted plans to fulfill recent regulations will cause the fair to scale back, but locals are still invited to join in for traditional events, including the 4H Livestock Competition and Sale, as well as the Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo. See website for a full itinerary of fun.

Memorial Walk

Participate in a memorial walk for people who have lost a loved one to suicide. The event will be held in Idaho Falls. The grove is located on the south west side of the park.

4th Annual Living History Convergence

The Northwest Living History Association invites you to come wander through the camps, see history crafts demonstrated, and talk to people from the past. There will be period games for children to play. There is no cost to attend.

1931 was the first year for the Spud Day Queen and Miss Shelley. Today, the Senior class girls participate in Miss Russet Pageant for poise & beauty, talent, and a service project for a $1000 college scholarship.
