COVID-19 has shuttered local businesses of all stripes. This one is making the most of the downtime with a major renovation project.

With disease-prevention measures picking up steam, our service- and entertainment-based economy has taken an obvious hit.

For some specific businesses, their operations have had to shut down entirely. Some of them, however, are making the most of their downtime by tackling pre-planned renovation projects. 

The Lott family, who run the Center and Paramount Theaters, are now in the thralls of major upgrades of their Paramount entry lobby, concession area, theater seating and a state-of-the-art 7.1 surround-sound speaker system.
