Presented by Camp Hayden, this art show, sale and silent auction is set for Friday, May 17 from 5-8 p.m at the Idaho Falls Senior Activity Center (535 W 21st street).
Camp Hayden is a volunteer-run 501c3 now in its second year. Its mission: to provide accessible adventures for people with disabilities and their families.
Last summer the group held its first summer camp with 10 families who have children with special needs. The Hayden’s HeARTS program was an 8-week art experience for people with developmental and or physical disabilities. The May 17 showcase will allow each participant to display, sell, or auction some or all of the art pieces they created during that program.
Art pieces that are sold will profit the individual artist. Art pieces in the silent auction and other items for purchase will benefit Camp Hayden and Hayden’s HeARTS future programming.
