Got a penchant for captivating photography from local shutterbugs? If so, mark your calendar for Dec. 5. The results are IN for Idaho Falls magazine's 10th annual East Idaho Community Photo Contest, presented by Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Willowtree Gallery and Perfect Light Camera & Supply!
Our annual awards ceremony will be held at ARTitorium on Broadway, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. The gathering will include a short presentation of top submissions, followed by category awards and overall 2019 contest winners.
“As in previous years, each of our seven categories recognizes first, second and third place, as well as two honorable mentions,” notes Idaho Falls magazine editor Steve Smede. “All top-5 category entries will receive a plaque, and top-3 category winners will get cash prizes.”
The contest is free to enter, with main prizes funded by EIRMC and Perfect Light. Additional prizes for category winners are sponsored by Eagle Rock Indian Motorcycles, Idaho Falls Regional Airport, Willowtree Gallery, Idaho Falls Power, The Dec Event Center, Teton Volkswagon and the Bank of Commerce.
“On top of all that, we'll also be doing some raffle giveaways,” Smede added.
The Dec. 5 event at ARTitorium is free and open to the public.
“Special thanks go to EIRMC and Perfect Light, who have been with us from the beginning of the contest,” Smede said.
The camera store, which just announced a new location up in West Yellowstone, is also celebrating its tenth year.
All top entries – including category winners and this year's expanded selection of Editor's Picks – will be featured in the 2019 January issue of Idaho Falls magazine.
