Hat's off to INL's Jason Stolworthy, who has been tapped to serve as the site’s new Technology Deployment director. He has 10 years under his belt at INL, and has spent the last three years establishing an intellectual property and technology transfer office for the country of Qatar.

Technology Deployment works to deploy and transfer INL technologies that can benefit the public to the private sector. Stolworthy will ensure that the public’s investments in research and development achieve a maximum return for national economic benefit. Over the past decade, INL has signed 697 new technology license agreements, executed 145 competitive research and development agreements and completed 417 agreements with federal agencies and private sector entities worth nearly $1.4 billion.

“I look forward to working with Jason and his team on exciting new opportunities,” said Amy Lientz, director of INL’s Partnerships, Engagement and Technology Directorate, which oversees Technology Deployment. “Moving R&D from the lab to the private sector increases the return on investment from federally funded research, and gives more Americans access to cutting-edge energy technologies.”

Mark Kaczor, who has been the acting Technology Deployment director, was named INL's senior commercialization lead. Kaczor is executing new initiatives to support commercialization needs in energy and security. “I also extend my gratitude to Mark for his leadership for more than a year in his role as the acting manager, and for establishing a mission-focused team,” Lientz said.
