Amanda's Shortbread

Shortbread

Ingredients:
1 c. butter, softened
½ c. powdered sugar
¼ cornstarch
1 ½ c. flour
2 Tbl. Sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Whip butter until fluffy. Stir in the powdered sugar, flour and cornstarch. Beat on low for 1 minute, then on high for 4 minutes. Knead until dough forms a smooth ball. Press dough into a 10”x15” jelly pan. Score into bars. Prick with a fork. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 20-25 minutes, watching carefully. Shortbread is done edges are slightly golden. Do not overcook! Drizzle or dip in melted chocolate
