Whether you're in the mood to dance or you just want to sit back and enjoy great live music, you'll love Random Sam. This power trio--no stranger to the local live music scene--performs a myriad of classic to modern favorites.
Random Sam formed in 2004 when bassist Greg Housely and drummer Becky Clapp met while performing in another group. Housely and Clapp then tapped local musician Steve Sorensen to complete the Random Sam line-up.
Today, the band has enjoyed nearly seven years of consistent gigs, playing a variety of rock ‘n roll tunes from bands such as The Eagles, Van Halen and Aerosmith. They have a reputation for providing energetic shows and keeping people dancing all night long.
For the fourth year in a row, the band will be the featured live music at Idaho Falls Magazine's Scoop Jam! -- an all-you-can-eat ice cream festival at Snake River Landing set for July 14 from 12-4 p.m.. Random Sam is also a frequent performer at Alive After Five and other festive occasions in and around Idaho Falls.
“We are very careful to select songs that people like and have a good energy or beat to them – they are songs that people can connect with,” says Sorensen.
