The Idaho Falls Chukars announced their 2012 season schedule. The Chukars will open the 2012 campaign at home on Monday, June 18th at 7:15 PM against the Orem Owlz (Pioneer League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim). The Chukars will start the season with a five game home series before taking the road to Colorado, where they will face the new short season affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, the Grand Junction Rockies.
For the 18th straight season, the Chukars will be playing at home on July 4th, as they take on their Southern Division rival, the Ogden Raptors (Pioneer League affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers). Game time is set for 6:00 PM with gates opening at 5:00 PM.
New for 2012 will be "Back to School" start times for the last four regular season home games at Melaleuca Field. Instead of the normal 7:15 PM first pitch, the Chukars will be playing at 6:15 PM on the following dates: August 28th, August 29th, September 5th, and September 6th. Gates will be open at 5:00 PM for these special start times.
