A Day for Ancestral Discovery

Family history center open house set for May 12

We all have ancestors. Only a relative few of us, however, have utilized available resources to find out who they were, where they came from and how their lives forever changed our family trees.

The commercials on television glamorize the experience a bit, but just ask any avid researcher and you'll hear of at least a few amazing discoveries.

For a more detailed introduction to the world of ancestral research, come see how the Idaho Falls Regional Family History Center can help trace your family heritage.

Continuous tours will be running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Classes will be held throughout the day, including (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) How to Begin, Spanish, Family Search; (10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) British Isles, Our Website, New Family Search; (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.): Scandanavian, Military Records, Research Services and (11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) Germanic, Wiki, Indexing.

The history center is located at 750 W. Elva St. in Idaho Falls. For more information call 524-5291 or visit www.familysearch.org.
