The DOE-Idaho Operations Office, Museum of Idaho (MOI) and S.M. Stoller ESER Program are offering several Rocky Mountain Adventure (RMA) summer science camps in June and July for children ages 6 - 15.
Campers will have the opportunity to discover the world around them through hands-on exploration. The camps are designed to teach useful science in a fun and participatory way.
The camp motto says it all: "The worst day in the field is better than the best day in the classroom." Organizers of the camps say there is no better way to learn about geology than from the top of a volcano, or study water pollution from the middle of a stream.
Field trips, experiments and group projects are the heart of this Rocky Mountain Adventure program that will leave a lasting impression on all participants.
