The beauty of handwork begins with a thread and then it evolves. Various mediums, techniques, patterns, threads, fabrics, and materials are employed to take that thread and transform it. It is from the individual parts, worked together by a skillful hand, that create a harmonious whole. In many ways, this is like the ideal in a community. It takes may ideas, opinions, skills, and personalities to create a complete picture. It is this process of working together that produces something wonderful and unique, the end result being a beautiful work of art or a person changed as a result of other's actions.
