In 2017, the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes broke ground on the 85,463 square foot casino addition connected to the west side of the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Events Center, called Casino Expansion Phase II. The much-anticipated property now has an "open to the public" date.

On Feb.13 at 11 a.m., the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel will hold an opening ceremony with remarks from tribal leaders and staff. In celebrating the cultural significance on a project this size, the program will also feature traditional dancing and an honor song from a drum group.

At the conclusion of the Ceremony, a Celebratory Ribbon Cutting will take place, to symbolize the project's completion and that the property is open for business. At that time, the Public will be invited in to experience the New Gaming Floor.

A formal grand opening celebration is set for Feb. 23.

The new gaming floor sprawls over 85,463 square feet and connects to the west side of the existing Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Events Center. In addition to the casino floor, there will be an addition to the north side of the Event Center with 300-plus new parking spaces, a new Bingo Hall, Buffet and Lounge.
