Saturday, Aug. 26 is Community Appreciation Day at the Idaho Falls Zoo.
Admission for the day is only $1 plus one can of food per person or $3.50 per person without a canned food item for ages 4 and over. Children ages 3 and under are free.
“Community Appreciation Day is the zoo's way of thanking the community for all the tremendous support throughout the year while helping out the local food bank.
“The day is also a great opportunity to see how fast all the zoo babies are growing!” says David Pennock, executive director.
Zoo hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., daily through September 4, 2017.
