The following is a news release and image from the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce.

In an effort to better serve our residents and tourists, the Eastern Idaho Visitors Center is moving from its current location on N. Capital to 355 River Parkway. The Visitor Center will be closed on Friday June 9th while we move and we will begin serving the public in our new location Monday June 12, 2017.

Chamber CEO Chip Schwarze said the move was initiated to better promote tourism in eastern Idaho and to meet growing needs of our local residents. We will maintain our long-term partnership with the Bureau of Land Management and the US Forest Service in our new location where we will continue to offer their maps, permits and gifts.

“What an amazing location for a Visitor Center, right across the street from our greenbelt and the falls,” Schwarze said. “I am sure this Visitor’s Center will be something the whole community will be proud of.” In addition to providing tourist information for our entire region, our new Visitor Center will have a beautiful gift shop with souvenirs so our visitors can take a little bit of Idaho home with them.

The offices of the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce will join the Visitor Centers new location as soon as the remodel of their new office space is completed. We apologize for any inconvenience experienced during our transition and look forward to seeing our friends and neighbors in our new location.
