It’s going to be a Fourth like no other. With a new venue for one of the nation’s most eye-popping pyrotechnic displays, Independence Day revelers have plenty to cheer about. And if the rocket’s red glare isn’t your cup of tea, the festivities go far beyond fireworks at the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration.

Riverbend Communications has just announced a variety of family-friendly activities at the Mountain View Hospital Riverfest 4th of July Celebration at Snake River Landing.

Admission is free and tickets for select events are available to purchase. Tickets are $1 each or 25 tickets for $20.

The following ticketed events will be offered from noon until 8 p.m.:

Wagon Rides – 1 ticket per person
Bounce Houses And Other Inflatable Activities – 2 tickets per person Mechanical Bull Rides – 3 tickets per person
Horseback Rides – 3 tickets per person
Zip Line – 5 tickets per person

Tickets can be purchased in the vendor area beginning at noon at the Hawk 105.5/105.9 tent and the Z103 tent.

Entrance to the Rexburg Motorsports exhibit, along with local entertainment all day long on the Teton Toyota Stage, is free of charge.

A limited number of rides are still available on the EastIdahoNews.com helicopter, but seats are selling fast. Helicopter tickets are $35 if booked before the event and $40 if purchased at Riverfest. Reservations can be made at EastIdahoNews.com.

Costs for additional activities, including an archery contest, food, drinks, face painting and more, will be determined by individual vendors. For more details, check out the Riverfest page on Facebook.
