Idaho Falls recently ranked No. 3 out of 358 cities that the website analyzed in a study of Best Cities to Start a Business in 2017.
Researchers examined data from 358 cities and conducted a survey of 150 small business owners countrywide as part of the study.
Items of interest:
- The best statistical category for Idaho Falls was, # of firms per 100 employable people [3.0], falling in the 96th percentile vs. an average amongst cities of 2.2
- Survey insight: 40 percent of small business owners look to hire this year vs. 5 percent stating they would decrease employees
- Millennial business owners aged 18-24 were the most financially confident in their business this year at 84.6 percent vs. the average of 70.7 percent (confident vs. not)
