Girl Scouts of Silver Sage are looking for volunteers who are willing and passionate about making a difference in girls’ lives. Their mission is “to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.” Volunteers can also make the world a better place by helping make girls’ lives better. 6-10 hours a month is all it takes to make a difference, and Girl Scouts will provide you with everything you need to succeed from training meetings to your very own support group.
Below are a few of the positions they are looking to fill:
In Idaho Falls:
Service Unit Manager
- Plan and manage monthly, informational meetings of troop leaders and co-leaders in the Idaho Falls area
- Assist with troop and volunteer communication, answer questions from new troop leaders
- Support Service Unit cookie manager during cookie season
Qualifications: 1-2 hours per week. Passion for youth development, strong management skills, and positive leadership. No former Girl Scout experience required. We will guide you!
Co-leader—Brownie Troop 473 (grades 2-3)
- Plan and facilitate meetings and activities
- Deliver existing curriculum
Qualifications: 2-3 hours per week. Passion for youth development. Desire to give positive guidance and mentorship. No former Girl Scout experience required.
Troop Leader and Co-leader—NEW Daisy/Brownie Troop (grades K-3)
- Plan and facilitate meetings and activities
- Deliver existing curriculum
Qualifications: 2-3 hours per week. Passion for youth development. Desire to give positive guidance and mentorship. No former Girl Scout experience required.
In Rigby:
Service Unit Manager
- Plan and facilitate monthly, informational meetings of troop leaders and co-troop leaders

There is room for lots of growth in Rigby as there are only 4 troops in this service unit.
Qualifications: 1-2 hours per week. Passion for youth development, strong management skills, and positive leadership. No former Girl Scout experience required. We will guide you!
Service Unit Cookie Manager
- Organize cookie order forms and sales
- Operate the “cookie cupboard"
Committing to this position will not take up a lot of time because the service unit is small, but will require a commitment of 3-4 months.
Qualifications: 3-4 hours per week, Jan.-Apr. Strong Organizational and communication skills. No former product management experience is required. We will guide you!
