The hours before a firework show can be agony. Hours of waiting and seat-saving with nothing to do drains most people, especially if those people are under the age of 12. Lucky for us, the Liberty Fest easily fills the gap between parade and fireworks, and the only agony we’re left with is having to choose between a funnel cake and ice cream. (Even that decision can be made simple: get both.)
Taking up all of Memorial Drive along the Idaho Falls Greenbelt between Broadway and E Street, the Liberty Fest consists of food, fun and entertainment, including local artists and dancing acts. Admission is free for everyone. This event is presented by Mountain America Credit Union and sponsored by the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce.
