Idaho Falls Zoo is now accepting both teen and adult volunteer applications. Volunteers assist with conservation, education programs, special events, animal care, and grounds and exhibit maintenance, to name a few jobs.
An information open house will be held for volunteers in the meeting room at the Idaho Falls Library, 457 W. Broadway, on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 5pm to 7pm.
Volunteer applications are available by clicking the “get involved” tab on the Idaho Falls Zoo’s website. Potential volunteers can also pick up and return applications to the zoo’s administrative office during business hours (8am to 5pm, Monday- Friday).
Adult volunteer (ages 18+) applications are due March 1, and teen volunteer applications (ages 14-17) are due April 1.
Once accepted, volunteers will be required to participate in a series of training programs that are only offered once a year.
