Clear the calendar for February 12 because The Lightning Thief is coming to the Colonial Theater for a family matinee at 3:15 pm.
The Idaho Falls Arts Council is pleased to share the story of Percy Jackson, a boy who discovers he is the son of Poseidon, the Greek God, in the book written by Rick Riordan. Tension builds as Percy learns that he has been accused of stealing from Zeus.
Percy and a group of friends set off on a grand adventure to set things right and restore all to the way it should be in Olympus. They will undergo many trials but with their conviction, nothing can stop them…or can it?
“The Lightning Thief is such a fun story, that really captures the audience, whether in the book, the movie, or now the play,” said Brandi Newton, Executive Director of the Idaho Falls Arts Council, “We love to have shows specifically for kids and families, and even more when they relate to other mediums of art as well.”
Recommended for grades 2-6, the one-hour musical production is guaranteed to take you on an adventure you won’t soon forget.
Tickets can be purchased at the Idaho Falls Arts Council at 498 A St., 208-522-0471, or online at idahofallsarts.org. Tickets are $3.
