Hats off to our friends at Idaho Central Credit Union, who are sending a team 20-plus people up the valley today to give out free hot chocolate and turkeys, bag groceries, buy gas for motorists and even shovel a few sidewalks if the weather gets a little snowy.

Through Dec. 19, Idaho Central will be giving new members $100, plus an additional $100 to their choice of one of five local charities.

The list includes Madison Education Foundation, Madison Memorial Hospital Foundation, Four Paws Adoption Agency, Developmental Workshop, and the Family Crisis Center. The member will decide where the $100 will be donated at the time the account is opened.

On Dec. 21, ICCU will host a special event at their branch where the checks will be presented to the chosen organizations.
