Hello good people of Idaho Falls,
Good food, a soft bed, safety - sounds nice and normal doesn't it? For some people it doesn't. For some people, those things are luxuries that they aren't able to afford.
While we may not be able to fix every problem for those in need, we can still make a difference. Drive & Drop is the Idaho Falls magazine's semi-annual food drive for four of the city's local non-profits: City of Refuge, the Haven, Idaho Falls Community Food Bank and the Soup Kitchen.
We set up shop in the parking lot of Albertsons (the one on 17th Street and Holmes Ave.) and, for two days a year, we become the way you can help those people who need it. All you have to do is put whatever cleaning supplies and food (including nonperishable and canned food) in your car that you want to donate, drive to the Albertsons' parking lot and we'll unload and deliver the goods for you. As an added bonus, we'll give you a coupon good for one free frozen yogurt as our way of saying thank you.
This year's Fall Drive & Drop will be held September 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
